I am compiling a compelling list of good reads and strangely finding this really quite difficult. I wrote yesterday of the ‘internal editor’ (Free yourself from the internal editor: Thursday’s writing tip) and I think that I am having my own editing crisis. I think of a book that I like but, after careful thought, discard it before it goes on the list . I think the list might end up taking a long time to compile.
You can see the struggle that I am having: I wanted to get to 50 at least and have managed, well 4!
1. A Thousand Splendid Suns – Khalid Hosseini
2. Pride and Prejudice – Jane Austen
3. Wuthering Heights – Emily Bronte
4. Cat’s Eyes – Margaret Attwood
I wonder if it is a memory thing…..have I truly forgotten all the great and the good that I have read?
Can you help by suggesting your faves that might end up on the list? For those that do, I will, of course, link back to your site!
