Salsa

The nuisance took so very long to die

That Monday, a special Salsa night for me.

I’d dressed early in my fishnets and my

Devil thong.  I felt hot in PVC

Thigh length boots.  My outfit was complete.

But screwing up his nose, he refused to go,

Until I put on something ‘more discreet’.

A friend for years, he really should have known

My mind cannot be changed once it’s decided.

The blackened eye was just a friendly nudge

To help explain why I felt insulted.

A stubborn man, he simply wouldn’t budge

And sat blazing in the flat all night long

Whilst I danced Salsa to our special song.
